Presenters:
Lydia Holzman’s practice focuses on both Business & Corporate Law and Trusts & Estates at Hutchinson Black and Cook, bringing with her more than 17 years of legal experience prior to joining the firm in 2022. Lydia worked in private practice at firms in Denver and Boulder and spent over a decade as an in-house attorney, most recently working at a $12 billion global information technology company. Her practice at Hutchison Black and Cook includes both estate planning and providing advice to companies on a wide variety of matters.
In her estate planning practice, Lydia provides counsel on estate planning, marital agreements, and probate and trust administration. She enjoys working with a variety of clients, including families with young children, blended families, and individuals holding businesses and real estate in their estate, leaning on her years of practice as corporate counsel.
She also advised businesses on such areas as business formation, real estate transactions and leases, technology agreements, contract negotiations, corporate governance, business reorganizations, and mergers and acquisitions. She enjoys acting as ‘general counsel’ for her clients, drawing on her many years of experience as in-house counsel.
Lydia lives in Lyons, Colorado and enjoys spending time skiing, biking, reading novels, gardening, and taking her two children to soccer games and other activities.
Scott Robinson is a trusted advisor who utilizes his accounting, business, tax, trust, and estate background to assist his clients in all aspects involving the preservation and accumulation of wealth. He assists clients in mitigating federal and state income tax using multi-jurisdictional tax and planning tools. Scott’s practice at Berg Hill Greenleaf Ruscitti LLP emphasizes Wyoming trusts, private family trust companies, and situs planning. Scott also counsels clients on the use of trusts to mitigate taxes when selling closely held companies, selling business equity, or types of liquidity events. In addition, he counsels clients with complex probate and estate administration matters. Scott carries a Martindale-Hubbell AV® Preeminent™ rating and is licensed to practice law in Colorado and Wyoming. He advises local, national, and international high-net-worth individuals and families in sophisticated estate, tax, asset protection, and business planning.
Scott is a frequent presenter and instructor at Colorado and Wyoming Bar Association events and continuing legal education seminars on a variety of estate planning and tax-related topics. He has also been a Visiting Professor at the University of Wyoming College of Law, teaching courses in Income Taxation, Gift and Estate Taxation, Business Planning, and Taxation of Business Entities.
When he is not in the office, you will find Scott spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He also enjoys farming, hunting with his four bird dogs (which he trained himself), fishing, backpacking, and breeding Wirehaired Griffons.
